How It All Began

Buffalo, NY (1964) - It was late on a Friday night in 1964 hat Teressa Bellissimo’s son Dominic asked her to whip up something to eat for a group of his hungry friends. Teressa disappeared into the kitchen of the now famous Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY. She emerged around midnight with two heaping plates of small, deep-fried chicken wings flavored with a spicy sauce from her own secret recipe. Her son’s friends devoured them, and a new taste sensation was born: the Buffalo Wing.
